Mixed Emotions

Last Thursday, we were advised that we'll  go to Alabang the next day to visit the company who acquired Headstrong (my current employer), Genpact. The resource management team told us that the visit will just circle around the presentation of  some of the people there regarding company background, etc. etc. so we were shocked when the "presentation" became a job offer. There's this project that will start asap and they're needing many people (from Headstrong and new hires) to manage the project. 

Then it's already Friday. I became nervous because of some notions came into my mind. The project is good. We will pioneer the said project and that, for me, is a very tempting offer. The office environment is also good. It's like you're working in a first class subdivision. Haha. The amenities/perks are way better than other companies (well, including Headstrong itself  Ssshhh. Lol). Imagine, discounts from many fine dining restaurants here in Metro Manila. That's a very big wow huh. And lastly, the people are the best. Yeah, they're so friendly (well, most of the people there that we've met) and very professional.

But there came the drawbacks of the project. First is the location. That is my first time in Alabang as far as I can remember and I really think that it's so far from home and I don't have plans of renting a house within the vicinity of Genpact. Second is the shift. Working hours is anytime (just accumulate the needed 8 hours) between 6pm to 9am the next day. Again, if ever I'll be deployed to it, that will be my first time to have that kind of  shift. And lastly, their rules and regulations. No cellphones, no internet, no pen and paper. You just have to bring yourself. That's it. And for that, I salute Headstrong. Hahaha. I really love Headstrong for having such employee friendly rules. Lol.

As of now, we weren't still advised about what is the outcome of the negotiations. Yes, we were having some demands like transportation service from Headstrong's office to Genpact Alabang, different allowances, and of course, salary increase. Lol. If ever ALL of them will be granted, then I'll be the one to come to Genpact Alabang, grab the contract then sign it immediately. Wahaha.

I came out of the office earlier than the usual. I'll be meeting that time the proponents of the defense I attended two weeks ago. It's not a secret from you, readers, that I have a crush on one of the proponents. I don't know if I overused my powers against them when I disapproved one of their "problems" in the thesis that we, me and my partner, previously approved just to prolong their stay. Hahaha.  

I came at the meeting place just minutes later than their arrival. To my dismay, he brought his girlfriend along with them. I am not warned nor informed about that so I'm shocked. Hahaha. But contrary to your sightings about what might happen because of  "her" presence, I gave my biggest and sincerest smile to her. I'm not the kind who will be pissed off just because of that. I'm a professional that time and not just some kind of silly lover. LOL. The consultation run from 7:30pm to 10:30 pm. It's so embarrassing that I didn't buy anything in the fast-food chain we're lying in. Adding insult to injury, I bought dinner from another store. I am so bad. So so bad. Imagine, we stayed there for three long hours and they'd just ordered light snacks. We're so bad. So so bad. Hahaha.

Saturday came. Yeah, another thesis defense day. I'm shocked when I saw my previous boss from OJT days, Sir Joey, that was also invited to sit in the defense. And to add spice to that, we we're partnered. It's his first time handle a thesis defense so I'm not that intimidated to him considering that he's already having more than thrice the experience as I have. Lol.

We sat for two set of proponents. The first one finished(well not totally finished because they have to have a consultation to me and Sir Joey before they will be totally passed)  smoothly. The second one gave us a headache. Gosh! They can't even simulate the algorithm. We need to stop that nonsense defense and gave them time to further study the algorithm and have a consultation with their adviser before they face us again. Are we that bad? No we're not. They themselves are self-confessed careless and lazy. The fishes were caught with their own mouths. Lol.

All in all, I sat for four set of proponents. Imagine the headache I had after the defense. My brain was drained, literally.

I rode my way home all alone. My emo-ish personality came again and the rest was history. :-(

Tagaytay Escapade

Hindi ko akalain na magiging masaya pa din ang bakasyon namin sa Tagaytay last July 2-3. Eh pano naman kase hindi kumpleto ang barkada. Wala si Joyce and Yani. Dapat kasama si Joyce pero biglaang me gagawin sa work si Joyce on a Saturday. Kaloka. Si Yani naman, death anniversary ng father niya sa July 4. Eh since weekday yun, napagpasyahan nila ng family niya na July 3 na lang iyon gunitain. Kaya ayun at lima na lang kaming tumuloy. Eto eto kame. For the first time in the Philippine history, ipapakita ko yung faces ng mga gal friends ko. LOL.

Eto kame. Si Eunny, Sarah, Ivie, Your Royal Highness(chos!), tsaka si Midz . In no particular order yan(kayo manghula kung sino sino yang mga yan. CHOS!) Syempre, I stated our names respectively no! Hahaha. 

Hindi ko alam kung medyo late na ba kami nagkita kita or sakto lang. 10:30am na din kase kame nakumpleto sa D. Jose station ng LRT 1. Tapos, passed 1 na din kame umalis ng Buendia. Punyeta kase yung FX na sinakyan namin. Anung petsa na umalis. Lagpas isang oras din kaming naghintay sa loob ng FX no! Dapat nga bababa na kame kaso baka murahin kame ng ibang pasahero na matagal tagal na ding naghihintay dun kase nga naman 5 din yung mababakanteng pwesto and matatagalan pang lalo yung paghihintay nila kaya naisipan naming tiisin na lang.

Kawawa si Sarah and Midz dun sa FX kase me plastic na malaki dun sa unahan namin and throughout the travel eh nakadagan yun sa mga paa nila. Grabe no. Ramdam ko yung ngalay nila. Hahaha. Hindi na natuloy yung balak naming mamasyal muna bago magcheck-in dun sa bahay na tutuluyan namin kase dumating kame sa Tagaytay pasado 2pm na. Eh yun yung check-in time namin kaya doon na lang namin sa resort pinalipas ang maghapon. Btw, yung sinakyan naming tricycle, medyo nakakatawa kase hindi pala talaga niya alm kung saan yung pupuntahan namin. Buti na alng nakarating kame ng maayos. Nag-offer siya ng service for Sunday para sa pamamasyal namin. Sakto naman kase wala din kaming alam sa mga pupuntahan namin kaya tinanggap na namin yung offer niya. Hindi din naman kame lugi sa bayad.

Eto pala yung bahay na tinuluyan namin. Syempre hindi yung buong yan yung tinuluyan namin no. 5 lang kame diba. Dun lang kame sa baba. Dun sa left side.

Syempre, unang una naming ginawa yung pamamasyal sa loob ng resort. Super picturan talaga. Siguro kulang ang 1 TB(Terabyte) sa mga naging pictures namin. Echos lang. Nung namamasyal kame, biglaang umambon kaya naisipan naming bumalik na sa bahay at magpalit na ng pang-swimming. Habang papabalik, nakayuko ako sa hindi malamang kadahilanan. Hahaha. Siguro kase ganun yung mga naabutan ng ulan, yumuyuko. Gets? Tapos nung papasok na kame sa silong nung tinutuluyan namin, tinaas ko na yung ulo ko. Eh saktong me nakabukas palang binatan dun. Nauntog tuloy ako ng bonggang bongga. As in bongga talaga. Masakit siya. Nung papasok, niloko ko yung mga friends ko na dumudugo siya. Tinginan silang lahat. Tapos sabi ko joke lang. Maya maya ako naman biniro nila, nagdudugo daw. Sabi ko, "Tse". Sabi nila totoo daw. Nagpanic tuloy ako. Pagtingin ko sa mirror mirror on the wall, shetness, nagdudugo na pala talaga siya. Buti na lang hindi malakas yung pag-agos. Nato-tolerate pa naman. Nato-tolerate? Parang gago  lang. Hahaha.

After kong malinis yung dugo, diretso swimming kame. Hindi naman umagos sa swimming pool yung dugo. Sabi ko sa inyo nato-tolerate pa siya eh. Bwahaha. Kaso medyo malamig nung time na yon tapos malamig din yung tubig sa pool. Pero kinaya naman namin. Halos 2 oras din kameng tumagal sa tubig. After that, nag-shower na kaming lahat tapos inasikaso na namin yung dinner namin. Nakakaloka lang kase para kaming nasa evacuation center dahil sa mga kinain naming "relief goods". Bwahaha. Dahil nga malayo na sa market yung tinutuluyan namin, doon na lang sa maliit na tindahan sa loob ng resort kame bumili. Mabuti na lang talaga at kumpleto sa mga kelangan namin yung sari-sari store na yun at nakabili kame ng maayos. Ang dinner namin? Lucky me tsaka meat and tocino loaf. Hahaha. Keri naman. Masarap pa din. Enjoy pa din ang dinner.
 

Inuman naman after. The Bar green apple ang ininom namin. Keri naman kaso parang nakadami kame. Hindi pa naman ako sanay uminom. Promise. Kaya naman mahilo hilo na ako after naming uminom. and diretso tulog na kaming lahat. Me nakakatawang nangyari lang. Eh kasi diba, kapag uminom ka, madalas kang mawiwiwi after? Tapos eto na. Tapos na kaming uminom diba. Pagpka-cr nung isa kong kasama, she didn't noticed na nakaloked pala yung door sa loob. SInara pa niya ng bonggang bongga. Nalaman na lang namin nung me magwiwiwi na ulit. Shetness talaga. Pumunta pa tuloy kame sa super layong cr para magwiwi. Hindi ko kase kayang tiisin. Ganun pala yun. 


Swimming uli kame kinabukasan. Kainis. Kahit mainit na, super lamig pa din ng tubig. Brrrr. Lol. Kaya naman sandali lang kame nagswimming. Then prepare na para sa pag-alis sa resort. So far, so good naman yung naging pag-stay namin doon. Keri naman siya. Kumpleto naman sa amenities. Sabi ko nga sa kanila, sa susunod na pupunta ulit kame ng Tagaytay, doon na lang ulit kame mag-stay. Sang-ayon naman silang lahat. Pero feeling din namin, matatagalan kame bago ulit makabalik sa Tagaytay kase syempre, sa iba naman kame pupunta sa susunod. Lol.

Eto kame habang nagswi-swimming. Wala si Eunny. Siya ata yung nagpicture.

Ayan, kumpleto na kame. Nag-timer na lang kame dun sa cam.
Required talaga na nakataas yung kilay ko. LOL

(Grabe super tagal ko ng sinusulat 'tong post na 'to kaso hindi ko matapos tapos kase mabigat ang workload ko ngayon. Madalas hindi na nga ako nakakapag-surf sa net eh. Nakakagulat no. Hindi nga din ako makapaniwala na madami na akogn ginagawa nowadays eh. Lol. Sisingit ko lang siya ngayon para ma-publish ko na. Iiklian ko na lang. Hahaha)

Kelangan naming umalis ng villa by 2pm kase yun yung nasa rules kaya nag-ayos na kame ng mga bandang 12:30. Kinontak na ni Ivie si kuyang tricycle driver  na si Dave na maghahatid samin sa mga pasyalan. Diretso kaming Picnic Grove. Nakakaloka pala yung zip line dun. Akala ko kakayanin ko kaso nakakatakot talaga yung height niya kaya hindi na ko tumuloy. Hahaha.

 

Si Ivie kumuha nito kaya wala siya.

After that, pumunta naman kame ng Grotto of Lady of Manaoag. Hindi na kame kumuha ng pic doon for the religious place's sake. Kain naman kame after sa Dencio's. Nakakaloka lang yung mga kasabay naming kumain. Nakakbwisit yung isa. Maganda nga, rotten tomato naman ang ugali. Kung makapagdemand sa mga waitresses akala mo siya nagpapasahod dun. She's a shit. Ewan ko sa kanya. Che! Btw, eto na ang pics. 

Kumusta naman ang mga gutom? Heller! 3:00 na kaya niyan. Hindi pa kame nagla-lunch!
